Located at the base of Mount Niseko Annupuri in Niseko Village with panoramic views of Mount Yotei and the surrounding mountain ranges, Higashiyama Niseko Village is the first Ritz-Carlton Reserve to grace Japan and Waltex had the opportunity to supply and install the wallcoverings for this 50-room resort.

There is a special comfort that encapsulates the mountain experience, a harmonious blend of warmth and serenity and the rooms and suites at Higashiyama Niseko Village are designed around that experience, inviting the beauty of nature to flourish within. For the bedhead feature, Waltex worked closely with interior design firm Duoz Design to create a bespoke artwork of an exquisite sakura branch in soft and muted tones. The artwork was then printed on our horizontal silk textured wide-width, recyclable wallcovering Arani Silk in a warm, neutral tone with all the below performance & sustainability features.

  • Clean Vinyl Technology™
  • AQUA CLEAR™ inks
  • AQUA CLEAR 3.0™ finish coat
  • Advanced Warning Effect 5 Year Warranty
  • Ultra-low VOC meets CA 01350
  • CA CHPS listed
  • SCS Indoor Advantage™ Gold Certified
  • NSF/ANSI 342 Sustainability Certified
  • CA Prop 65 Compliant

In the distinctive omakase-style restaurant Sushi Nagi, a unique foliage in soft and hazy tones was created by Waltex’s graphic to blend immaculately with the misty and mysterious scenes of winter, and then printed on Bristol, a linen textured wallcovering. The result is a stunning backdrop to the itamae (chef), as guests embark on a gastronomic journey of bold flavours presented in delicate form.
