Hometown Hainan Coffee Sunway Tower

Waltex worked with the process driven studio at Newcleus Design to liven up the feature panels at Malaysian café chain Hometown Hainan Coffee’s newest outlet Sunway Velocity Tower. A favourite by interior designers, the Tropical Bellewood design pays homage to the exotic jungle our natural world’s biotopes have to offer.

Our wallcovering, strategically placed at the restaurant’s entrance, sits beautifully in a rounded arched – a design element central to the overall design that is repeated on the bi-fold doors, facade and rounded vent blocks to provide a gentle architecture facing the tower. Striking emerald green details in the metal works surrounding the frame injects a fresh breath of air while contributing to the branding of the traditional hand-brewed coffee place. This feature layers organically with the cascading plants both in standing palms and draping ferns.

The sunset hues of the Tropical Bellewood design in R17591 colourway allows the intricate palm motifs to stand out without overwhelming the space, striking a perfect balance between visual appeal and understated elegance. Its soft, earthy hues evoke a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making the restaurant feel both contemporary and timeless—a perfect complement to Hometown Hainan Coffee’s signature aesthetic.
